How many wheel bearings go in the rear wheel?
I've been looking for a set for the Bobber and some people list two and others three?

The sets with 3 in them, will contain a bearing for the sprocket carrier

I use Kent Bearings in Hastings or Ashford , or buy off eBay only if you can get good quality bearings and not the Chinese ones made of cheese.

+1 on Kent Bearings. Remove the old ones and buy using the code numbers stamped on the edge, same with oil seals, they will always be a lot cheaper than buying "genuine" OEM ones. If you have an hour or so and are fed up with watching paint dry, the codes are explained here:- http://www.nmbtc.com/bearings/part-numbering/

Remember to place your new bearings into the freezer the night before you want to install the bearings. If you can borrow a hot air gun & warm up the wheel hub this'll make installing the new bearings even easier

Does Mrs Berg have any say in this? I have an idea that most wives would hit the roof if they found motorbike parts in the oven / freezer / cook pot etc!

A bearing in a little plastic bag in the freezer is permissible Richard.

I find the dishwasher good for cleaning parts (when my wife's at work of course)

But Lisa, you are an exceptional woman who bestrides a Honda now and again. I guess I was thinking of long-past projects chez moi which involved the use of saucepans to check the temperature at which thermostats open and checking the melting point of EPS in the oven. Not popular!

If there were a Mrs. Berg then she'd be a biker & it would probably be a part of her bike in the oven/freezer/washing up bowl

Sue quite often comes home to find various insects in our freezer in the summer.

Ok. We now know two things: first, my point may yet be right. Second, you have added a qualification to your list of Ideal Attributes of Miss Right.

No need to thank me. Just buy me breakfast when you succeed :)

Isn't it normal to have bike parts in your kitchen (and not just the blokes ;))?? My kitchen table makes a great work bench :D.

I rebuilt a bike in my bedroom many years ago. What sort of woman would put up with that??
