    Can you tell me what the VN900 custom is like to own and ride? Thinking of buying either a VN or a Harley Sportster, never ridden either so any advice would help. Cheers

    VN900, great bottom end grunt, lacking top end. Custom handles beautifully, Classic some people have trouble handling for some reason.
    Sportster will shake you into oblivion, I had the 1200, not impressed in any shape or form....only plus, was pretty pokey.
    VN a chunkier looking bike, bigger tank. Both belt driven.
    You get a whole lot more bike for your money with the VN, plus the kawasaki reliability as opposed to Hardley on the Road Tractors temperamentality.
    Think you need to test ride both, totally different beasts! :thumbsup:
